Advice for Beginners

Get your camera. It does not have to be a DSLR or a film. A phone camera is a great place to start. (I photographed sticks in mud with an out-of-date Android for years as practice. A good camera does not guarantee good photos.)

Go take a walk and take a picture of anything that captures your eye: flowers, street signs, graffiti, everything. Take photos of friends, family, or pets. The most important thing is to explore what most interests you

Develop your style. Be unapologetically yourself.

Grow as an artist.
