A Tribute to Trees, Mud, and Joy

I fell in love with photography because of its endless possibilities. It is an art form that allows the photographer to capture the subject in a way that perfectly encapsulates their personality, and I think that is just so beautiful.

Even before I picked up my first real camera, I loved taking walks around my neighborhood with my siblings and using my (very low-quality) phone camera to take pictures of whatever I found visually appealing. Trees, ponds, patches of mud, anything and everything that caught my eye.

I bought my first camera with money that my great-grandma gave me. I’ve taken it with me everywhere since. The one time I didn’t bring it with me to a family event, my GG asked me where my “other half” was.

Thank you Joy, my beloved great-grandma. You kickstarted my dream.
